Before you pay a China supplier, collect the signals that change the decision.

This checklist helps overseas buyers organize basic supplier, factory, product, and documentation questions before a quick check, factory visit, or technical file review.

Company and contact basics

Registered company name, address, business scope, and operating history.
Sales contact, technical contact, and who can answer production questions.
Export experience, target markets, and whether the supplier has handled similar buyers.

Factory and production reality

Own factory, trading company, or hybrid setup.
Key processes done in-house versus outsourced.
Production capacity, sample lead time, and normal order lead time.

Product and documentation risk

Photos, drawings, datasheets, BOM notes, certifications, and test reports.
Whether certification claims match the exact model and market requirement.
Questions that must be checked before deposit, sample approval, or factory visit.
